"Going to my first grief support group today really opened my eyes. It gave me a space where I felt like I could actually start opening up and talking about my grief and everything that comes with it. For a long time, I didn’t fully understand my own feelings or why I felt so different after what I went through. I’ve felt heartbroken, distant, and sometimes like I’m not fully emotionally there. There are even times where I feel numb or withdrawn, like I’m not connected the way I used to be. Being in that group today helped me realize that what I’ve been feeling for years isn’t just me. Hearing others share similar emotions made me understand that I’m not alone in this. It helped me see that those feelings of numbness, disconnection, and emotional distance can actually be normal after going through something traumatic. That realization gave me a sense of comfort and made me feel less alone in my experience. Made me realize I should have attended one years ago.... Today was healing and for that, I'm grateful."

"Hey! I did your grief group yesterday. I’m so sorry for your loss. You’ve been on my mind a lot today, you really are an inspiration to everyone who’s lost someone. Thank you for doing that group!"

"Bestfriend needed today so bad. So deep in her soul she carries her grief and she doesn’t share it out loud with anybody other than me really. I hate you both lost your babies but I love that you guys have each other to grieve and heal together. Desiree, You are leaving a legacy in Blake’s honor and it’s one of the most beautiful things I have ever been privileged to witness and be apart of. Your strength is something so admirable. I hope you are proud of yourself. I know Blake is proud of you."
